Privacy Policy

TrySignalHire is a product operated by Pep Tech Studios, LLC. This policy explains how the early-access service handles career, hiring, account, billing, analytics, and AI-assisted product data.

Scope

This policy applies to TrySignalHire websites, authenticated workspaces, candidate packet tools, company profile and match-review tools, early-access forms, billing flows, and related support communications.

The service is currently built for U.S.-first early access. If you use TrySignalHire from another location, your information may be processed in the United States and by the service providers described below.

By using TrySignalHire, submitting information, or creating an account, you acknowledge the data practices described in this policy.

Information TrySignalHire Collects

Account and authentication data, including name, email address, sign-in identity, account role, workspace routing details, and security-related account metadata.

Early-access and contact submissions, including email address, optional phone number, selected role, message content, source context, and follow-up notes.

Candidate career data, including resume context, role targets, projects, writing, education, work history, recommendations, references, proof links, evidence uploads, story notes, generated packet fields, private role checks, application tracking details, and match-review context.

Company data, including company profile details, job descriptions, role signals, public listing preferences, team or contact context, job-import inputs, and match-review activity.

Billing and access data, including Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, invoice, payment-status, access-grant, and billing-provider metadata needed to operate subscriptions, pilots, invoicing, access control, support, and audits. Stripe processes payment method details directly; TrySignalHire does not store full card numbers.

Product, analytics, security, and diagnostic data, including page activity, feature usage, device and browser details, IP-derived request context, logs, errors, abuse-prevention signals, and similar technical information.

How the Information Is Used

TrySignalHire uses information to create accounts, authenticate users, route users to candidate, company, admin, or billing workspaces, and operate account access controls.

TrySignalHire uses candidate and company inputs to structure evidence, create packets, support private role checks, import or organize jobs, calculate match signals, maintain review queues, and show product feedback.

TrySignalHire uses contact, support, billing, and usage information to respond to requests, send transactional messages, operate Stripe checkout and billing portals, administer pilots or comped access, debug issues, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and shape the product.

TrySignalHire does not use the service to make final hiring, employment, background-check, credit, insurance, housing, or eligibility decisions.

AI-Assisted Processing

TrySignalHire uses AI-assisted features to organize, summarize, compare, draft, and extract structure from candidate, company, job, story, proof, and match-review context.

AI output is intended to make submitted evidence easier to inspect. It can be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated, and users should review it before relying on it or sharing it.

Candidate claims should stay tied to sources, proof links, and user-provided context. TrySignalHire may process submitted content through AI providers and infrastructure providers needed to operate those features.

Sharing and Visibility

Candidate packets are shared through intentional product surfaces such as packet links, the public candidate directory, private role checks, match workflows, or company review views. Raw notes, private resume files, private uploads, reference contact details, salary details, and work-authorization details are not intended to become public directory content.

Company profiles may be private, unlisted, or publicly listed depending on selected visibility and product state. Public company listings are crawlable; unlisted company profiles are link-only.

TrySignalHire may share information with service providers that help operate the product, including Vercel for hosting and analytics, PostHog for product analytics and masked session replay, Supabase for database and storage, Clerk for authentication, Stripe for billing and subscription management, Resend for transactional email, and OpenAI for AI-assisted features.

TrySignalHire may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service, to prevent abuse or fraud, to enforce terms, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

TrySignalHire does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and Analytics

TrySignalHire uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember product preferences, operate security controls, understand product usage, and diagnose reliability issues.

The product uses Vercel Analytics, PostHog product analytics, masked session replay, and provider logs to understand aggregate usage and technical health. TrySignalHire does not use third-party advertising cookies or ad-network tracking.

Retention

TrySignalHire keeps information while it is needed to operate the service, provide support, maintain records, improve the product, prevent abuse, enforce terms, resolve disputes, maintain billing or audit records, or comply with legal obligations.

Retention periods vary by record type. Account, billing, security, audit, and dispute records may be retained longer than ordinary draft product content when required for legitimate business, tax, accounting, legal, or security reasons.

Privacy Rights

You can ask to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict use of your information by contacting jesse@trysignalhire.com. TrySignalHire will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Depending on where you live, including the EU, UK, California, or other jurisdictions, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, port, object to, restrict, or withdraw consent for certain processing. TrySignalHire honors applicable legal rights without claiming every regional compliance program applies to every user.

California residents may request information about categories of personal information collected, used, disclosed, or shared. TrySignalHire does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Security

TrySignalHire uses reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards for an early-stage product, including provider-managed authentication, scoped access controls, private storage for sensitive uploads, and separation between private inputs and public surfaces.

No internet service can guarantee perfect security. Do not submit secrets, private credentials, government identifiers, health information, financial account numbers, or unrelated sensitive personal information through candidate, company, or contact forms.

Children's Privacy

TrySignalHire is not directed to children under 13, and it is not intended for minors under the age required to use the service in their jurisdiction. TrySignalHire does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child provided personal information to TrySignalHire, contact jesse@trysignalhire.com so the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
